Dull, repetitive games, buggy physics Aug 03, 2008
By LanaFire RUN from this game. It makes Carnival Games look GENIUS in comparison. As the other reviewer said, you only get 1 free game in each of the 5 sections, so you must play so many times & do well enough in that game alone to earn enough tickets to play the other about 5 games in that section. All the other games cost 10-50 tickets each to play once & they only give you 10-100 tickets each, some only 20 even if you get the top score & play perfectly. Did I mention that in order to get to the next section you must have bought the prizes with said tickets? It's bad enough it looks cheap, dull & the auctioneer in each section have horrible, inane, non-helpful things to say, but also all the games are the same, but in different themes. I got to section two before I was tempted to throw my wii remote. Both had a non-moving objects shooting gallery, both had a whack a mole game, etc. A game that forces you to play games repeatedly ad nasueum to get to anther section. why don't they force you to watch a good movie as well & take any possible fun out of that too? Oh, the ride if you earn enough tickets? Is just another "game" such as section 1 is you shot out of a cannon & have to hit the botton displayed at the right time as you go through obstacles. Like a slow rhythm game. OOhhhhhh. You know a game is bad if on the commericial the actors have to dress up & do lame things to seem like they are having fun instead of just showing gameplay. Unless the gameplay SUCKS.
There are several review sites like IGN com which even shows you video of several minutes of gameplay. I rented this & I still want my $3 back.

ok but not great Jul 23, 2008

They lead you to beleive that this game is a combination of boardwalk games (wack a mole..toss a ball) and "rides" you can go on. There are five "themes" to the park. you play games (at each theme..one is always free) you do well enough and you are awarded tickets to play at other games. the goal is to "Purchase" all the toys at the themes vender unlocking the "Ride" which turns into yet another competition game. Like I said, its ok. but not great.

Fun for a bit, but gets boring really fast Apr 02, 2009
By Michael Minutaglio I got this game for Christmas from my wife, because I loved Carnival Games, and love amusment parks in general. While not a horrible game, it does get borring quite fast. Like other reviews say, alot of the games in each section are the same game with different themes...and some games are almost impossible to complete (and I am not just saying that because I am bad at video games, I had friends who play video games constently that couldnt complete some of these games). There are alot of things to unlock, and different outfits you can dress your character in, but that all gets old real fast. They have almost the same concept in Carnival Games, but for some reason that just seems alot more fun to do. With so many of these type of games out there, you can easily pass this one up.

UGGGHHH!!!! Oct 12, 2009

Okay, so when I purchased this game it was like twenty dollars. We had just gotten our Wii and were on a game buying spree. In comparison to the cost of other games, I though this was pretty cheap. So, I bought it. Little did I know how hard this game was going to be. Some of the games are fairly simple, but most of them are nearly impossible! You have to play well and keep playing to earn tickets so you can buy your way into the different stages at which point you must start over and regain more tickets. Suffice it to say, I may have spent little more than an hour playing this game. It's just too hard. now, the party play is a little better than story mode, but there are better party play games out there. Take my advice, this isn't a great game and it's not worth the buy.

Mind Numbingly Aweful Jun 26, 2009
By Ctwink We rented this game to see if it was something we'd like to buy and boy am I glad it only cost me $5 at Blockbuster. The game play in this stinker is stupid, repetitive, and way too hard.
We started with all four of us playing (Kids age 8 & 4) and ended up with just me trying to score high enough on the games to get enough tickets to buy enough prizes to move on.
This game takes literally hours to move onto the next section and when you do - guess what - you get the same crap that you had in the last area but repackaged as "different" games. How you can say that the games are different when they play the same, the goal is the same, and the motions are the same is beyond me - my elbow hurt like crazy the next day.
I also didn't like was the last area we were able to unlock - some kind of strange Halloween/Haunted House themed area that was downright creepy. We finally had to shut it off because the games and characters were scaring my 4 year old. My 8 yr old, who has played alot of different video games including some of the shoot-em-up style, was also kind of creeped out by it.
Ok, lets sum up: you have a game that not only does the game play suck, but also scares the age group you are trying desperately to appeal to so that Mom & Dad will spend money?!?! Genius marketing...
Not easy to play. Not family friendly. Not fun.
