Great WiiMote Charger May 13, 2009
By Benjamin Wood I purchased this charging base because it is the only one I found currently available that will work with the silicone sleeve and Wii Motion Plus installed. I was a little nervous when I first received it due to its light weight and somewhat flimsy feel. The charger has worked wonderfully however. The batteries were initially charged very quickly (within a couple of hours), and the WiiMotes have worked great for hours and hours of play. The flashing blue light upon a full charge is somewhat annoying, but can be easily fixed by pushing the power button on the unit off, or simply placing the WiiMotes elsewhere. A small piece of translucent tape over each light would probably also make the lights less bright and annoying. Have used for about a month. Overall a great product.

like magic Jul 28, 2009
By Rev. Otter i'd been looking and looking for a Wiimote recharger that you didn't have to remove the jacket to use, and this is it! NO physical contacts needed. it's literally as easy as putting the Wiimote down, even with a MotionPlus attached so that it doesn't fit exactly on the base
a hidden advantage -- the charge packs included weigh much less than two AAs or other rechargeable packs i've used. this makes the Wiimote noticeably lighter and better-balanced
a hidden problem -- the jackets MUST be clear. there's a tiny light in the charge pack, and if the charger can't "see" the light, it won't charge. in other words, i can't use my black silicon Wiimote skin, or the very cool Nerf jacket, or anything else that blocks light. that's a small price to pay for the rest of the convenience, though, and i think just cutting a tiny hole in the black skin will allow charging
the new packs charged in less than 2 hours. i have not yet tested the full life of a charge, but after a couple of hours of play the battery level still showed full. so far so good

note blue glow under Wiimote. that must be "seen" through whatever jacket you're using

Is Junk a strong enough term? Sep 19, 2009
By John Howard I had high hopes for the charger and purchased it because of the ease of charging. However, only half of the charging ports worked and one became so hot that it melted the plastic on the battery case as well as the charger itself. The battery pack would lose the connection to the wii remote if you squeezed it with any sort of pressure. So, during the middle of playing a game, the wii would stop the game to establish the connection again. I usually don't write reviews, but I wanted to warn people to avoid this charger.

Very cheap - didn't last a month Nov 07, 2009
By Jeff Spicher These didn't last 1 month in my house, even though we only used our Wii for no more than 3 hours the entire time we had these battery packs. One of the four battery packs appears to have melted and leaked an orangish goo as a result. Returned for a full refund to amazon.
Even if yours isn't defective like mine: Annoying blinking blue lights on charing base is enough to drive anyone batty; and you can tell everything is extremely cheap. I wouldn't feel safe leaving this thing plugged in at my house if l weren't home for fear of electrical fire.
Don't be a cheap skate like l was ... Get the Energizer induction chargers, they'll work for years, and aren't made of cheap potentially dangerous materials.

Best quad charger out there for the money! May 28, 2009
By I Candee Ok, my family has been dealing with a lone battery pack and contact charger with 2 remotes for the longest. I finally decided to upgrade my wiimotes and have been looking around for awhile to find the right quad charger. Let me tell you this one is it. I have seen other quads that allow you to simply lay the wiimote on the "pad" if you will but none that will allow you to keep your jacket on the wiimote. That product from a major retailer runs you 50 bucks with tax and it seems to me like its a strictly contact charger, meaning you have to make sure the metal on the battery pack lines up perfectly with the charging base. I have no regrets so far with the charger. It just arrived this week and we plan to make very good use of it. Now every player in the house has his or her own wiimote and all is great. Even my 4yr old dd can set the wiimote on the charger and it is instantly begins to charge. I love this product. The bright, bright blue light can get a little overwhelming but nothing that cant be fixed with taking the wiimote to another location or simply turning the charging unit off. I love that this is a regular AC/DC charger which allows room for my Wii speak and other peripherals to be connected to the Wii without the worry of taking one off to use the other.
All in all a great product, just started using it but will gladly update once we have gotten some good usage out of it. Oh and I LOVE, LOVE the fact it comes with four (4) battery packs no need to buy separate ones any longer! Yeah!!
