Just okay Jun 08, 2008

Our children love Spongebob, but this game is just okay. The major drawback on it (and most of the Wii games we've purchased) is that they are advertised as 1-4 player games, when in fact, it's basically a 1 person game with maybe several small games in the main one where you can play more than 1 player. This is frustrating for a parent that may purchase a Wii game for more than 1 child--and they are expensive! I wish these manufacturers would start labeling the games more honestly; like "1 player, with some multi-player options". Disappointing.

Great for young kids. Oct 05, 2008
By M. Greener I purchased this for my 6-year old, who loved the game and was able to play it on his own (big plus!) Normally he's bored by games within ten or fifteen minutes, but we had to pull him away from this one. The best aspect of this game for me was that it was actually non-violent. The worst you see is throwing ice cream at "tanks" that shoot mint chocolate chip at you! There were also different types of play on different levels, which I think played into my son not getting bored.
The one con for this game is that it is not intense enough I don't think for older kids who are used to fighting games.

good game for children Nov 27, 2008
By scuba08801 My son is 5 and likes the game very much. Levels 4, 6, 8 and 11, which are the kind that show random buttons to press in a short time, similar to Guitar Hero, requires my help. He likes me to play with him though. The game goes to level 14. There are three save game sessions to choose from. There's shooting but it's ice cream, ping pongs, and hamburger patties. Game is overly simple for adults but seems just right for young children.

Easy to use. Great intro to Wii Dec 28, 2008
By Books Bee We rented this for our two daughters (11 and 7) and we really love it. We just got our Wii so we were still figuring out how to use it. This game is fantastic! It is very forgiving and not too difficult -- you can make mistakes and it doesn't kill you and make you start from the beginning. It also gives you a hint if you seem like you are stuck. My husband and I found it addictive and my 11 year old loves it and won't stop playing it. We are now ready to buy!

Very cute, REAL voices too! Mar 20, 2011
By c2 This is probably one of the cutest games we own! Quite frankly, I like the part when you get to throw crabby patties at everyone! That's REALLY fun! Especially if you've had more than your share of "crabs" at work that day! :) Anyway, if you're buying this for an intense, serious gamer, you'll probably want to pass. Something that's pretty nice is that this game follows the movie quite well. The gamer gets to find the bubble, and also gets to sing to provide fuel for the bus to Atlantis. Squidward's portion in the art room is particularly fun, and so is Plankton's excursion with the ice cream guns. So, if you're looking for something lighthearted, nothing serious but ice cream going amuk, then be sure to pick this one for a boring, rainy, Saturday afternoon. It's SUPER cute, not overly difficult, but it contains the REAL actors' voices for all of the characters. That's always a plus in my book instead of some computer-generated thing that you get with the Leapfrog series. This is loved quite a bit in this house. Great, great stuff, highly recommend!
