Grab a Wii Remote controller in one hand and a Nunchuk controller in the other and step back into the ring with a modern update of the classic Punch-Out!! Little Mac is back! Everyone’s favorite underdog from the 1980s joins the best of the original Punch-Out!! cast in a modern re-imagination of the series. Players will find familiar names like Glass Joe, King Hippo and trainer Doc Louis. These boxers come to life again in cel-shaded 3-D, complete with hilarious fighting animations and back stories that capture all the fun and flair of the original Punch-Out!! games. The motion-sensitive controls of the Wii console mean that when players throw punches, Little Mac throws punches as well. Additionally, you can control hooks and jabs by combining motion control with control-stick movement. The motion-sensing Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers turn real-life swings into on-screen punches, so anyone can play. The game can also be played with classic NES-style controls by turning the Wii Remote sideways. | | | |

only one shortcoming Jul 27, 2010 This game is a lot of fun. My whole family enjoys playing it. The biggest drawback is that there isn't a setting for left-handed people. I hold the remote in my left hand for all my Wii games and it isn't usually a problem. As a matter of fact, this is the only game that causes any issues. If I hold the remote and nunchuck as I would naturally, then my left hand swings Mac's right arm. It's difficult to just switch hands since you use the stick on the nunchuck for different things durring the game. Even Wii sports has a setting for lefties so, to me, this is a unacceptable oversight. I've stopped playing the game and the only reason I haven't traded it is because my boys like it. I wish a patch or something could be done to fix this issue. The characters have a lot of personality are fun just to watch. If you get into the boxing it can be a workout, too.
Mario never fails! Jul 21, 2010 I bought these game for my younger brother. We got it on a Friday night and buy Sunday night he had already passed 95% of the game. He said it was so much fun he couldn't stop. It took him the rest of the week to complete the game, but he said it was worth it.
The game has awesome graphics, cool sound effects, and lots of surprising challenges. I really can't get into all the details but this game was definitely a very good purchase!
Memories...with today's technology Jul 12, 2010 Even better than I remembered as a kid. Making the actual punches makes it even more fun than the original.
Best Game for the Wii... Jun 17, 2010 Hours and hours of fun. Very accurate boxing with a large dose of nostolga. The two player mode is to die for.

Why the gay boxer? May 28, 2010 The third opponent in the game is a very flamboyant "Dico Kid" who sounds feminine. Why did the makers of this game feel the need to add this character. If I were homosexual, I wouldn't like this character's representation. He looks goofy. The creaters of the game probably thought it was funny. I'm glad I didn't buy this game...I borrowed it from our library. Its going right back.
