Good Game Dec 18, 2008
By Zap

Bought this game over the weekend only because it was on sale for $19.99, had it been regular price, would not have gotten the game. With that said, I LOVE THE GAME. It has me just as addicted as the Lego games.
My main reason for buying the game was because I loved Pitfall on the ATARI 2600, I would sit and play for hours. When this was released my only reservation about buying the game is that it is a one player game. We bought the wii for us to play together and agreed we would only buy games that we both enjoyed (otherwise I buy games for PS2). The graphics are obviously much better than ATARI, the storyline is easy to follow and basically if you remember some of the basic rules from the original games, it applies here as well, such as crossing crocodiles. The game can be a bit challenging at times, but overall I have been enjoying playing the game.
This game is worth the $40 now that I have been playing it.

WARNING!!!!! Dec 31, 2008
By Wii Willie Wiinkie This is a really fun game, BUT it is the exact same as Pitfall: The Lost Expedition for the GameCube released in 2001. Yes, they changed the title, write up and box to fool you, but I played it and it's the same story. If you are looking for a follow up to the Lost Expedition, this is not it.

I love it!!! Dec 25, 2008
By Chynna I loved the first Atari Pitfall game and bought it when it was on sale for $19.99 too! I'm so hooked! I love it! The only draw back is that a strategy guide or walk-thru wasn't made for the game. I've had to really do some major digging on the internet to get some help on finding the resources I need to get pass certain obstacles in the game. Other than that, it's great. I highly recommend this game.

Classic pitfall is locked Jul 14, 2009
By JMP The game description is misleading. I LOVED the original pitfall for the atari.
The description on Best Buys site said it came with pitfall 1 and 2. I wanted it for the original pitfall and was the only reason I got it. It turns out I couldn't figure out how to get to the game and found out you have to unclock it by playing the big adventure.
I played the Big Adventure a little and did like it, but I feel the description should have stated that the original pitfall had to be unlocked. When it said it was included with the game, I assumed you could play just the classic pitfall.

Fun and addicting May 22, 2009
By ~Z~ Amazon Verified Shopper Pitfall: The Big Adventure has come a long ways. Took me back to the old ole' Pitfall Atari days. Has good graphics, game play and audio (some sounds are kinda creepy - guy caught in the web). Sometimes it does take a while for it to load up and restart after you game is over but I still enjoy playing it. It is a ONE player game and it uses both the Wii Remote Controller and Wii Nunchuk Controller. It took me a lot of practice and patience to master the art of jumping and swinging on Vines. Many levels are difficult to pass easily. I wish they had a cheatbook I could buy to figure out how to get certain items and past certain stages I just can't seem to figure out. Even though I get stuck, I get so involved in trying to figure things out I loose track of time - very addicting. Overall a great game for any age group.
