Best pinball for wii hands down Jul 29, 2010 Easily the best pinball made for the wii. Graphics are decent and the game play is just like the real thing. I have owned this since it came out and sill play it all the time. If you like pinball don't pass this one up.
Pinball Hall Of Fame Williams Collection Jul 28, 2010 The best pinball game out there. It has all the classics from Williams. Play is like the real pinball machines but takes up less space in your gameroom!! If you like pinball then don't waste your time with any of the other pinball titles for Wii.
Buyer Beware Jul 07, 2010 The game has really nice graphics (PS3 version) and very authentic sound effects for all of the tables. There is an excellent sampling of some of the best classic Williams tables, and all of these things I have mentioned are the reasons for the 2nd star in my rating.
The problem with this title is the gameplay. The programs for the games (not all, but most) were written very aggressively and these are simply not much fun to play, which is the point of buying a game. All of the games have varying levels of difficulty but you will be able to achieve pretty high scores on most of them. As you progress through them over time you will soon realize that while you can score high and become skilled at playing the tables, fulfilling the requirements to actually beat the games is about as easy as winning a multi-state lottery. So you are left with a never-ending series of high scoring games that ultimately lead nowhere.
Are they fun? How many times are you willing to score 150 million points playing Midieval Madness but never having a chance to win the final battle? How many times is it interesting to score well on Pinbot but never collect all of the planets? The appropriately named "Jive Time" table is exactly that - a complete waste of time, with each ball rarely lasting more than 15 seconds of play. While I do not advocate making these games too easy (that would be equally boring) I am disappointed in the author's complete lack of a sense of fun here. I grew up playing many of the tables included and I can tell you with certainty: they were FUN! You couldn't beat them easily, or very often, but at least it could be done. Overall, a big missed opportunity.

Seemed great in reviews, but very poor fun in actuality Jul 02, 2010 I was thrilled to find a game for the Wii that garnered very high praise for its graphics, realism and intuitive camera movement. However, after playing a few rounds on all the different machines, my disappointment rose to disgust.
While the ball physics are very realistic, it's impossible to shake the feeling that the game is deliberately screwing you by making you lose a ball immediately after one small burst of success. While I was able to get the multi-ball activated on several tables, it would only take a few short seconds before I lost one (or all three) in VERY quick succession. The fact that this occurred across multiple tables only fueled my disgust to the point of actual anger.
The fact that there is no camera option that would remain fixed above the entire table is a huge flaw, especially given how fast the ball can move and how easy it can be to lose track of it amid the flashing lights and bright colors of the boards. Turning off the reflections did not help. The fact that the lights in the boards are reflected in the ball is a cool effect, but it confuses the eye quite easily and gain makes tracking the ball very difficult. An dimmer option for the lighting on the board, or to remove the reflections from the ball would also have been VERY welcome options!
I was also underwhelmed by the resolution. There seemed to be pixellation everywhere, which was exacerbated when the camera moved, again making it more difficult to keep track of the ball. I don't know if anti-aliasing is too blame or not, but it seemed to me that many of the boards were just not at a high enough resolution to properly distinguish the ball, targets and other details.
The techno background music in the arcade is quite annoying, and I was also disappointed that many of the voice sounds for the games seemed muffled and unclear. I couldn't understand ANYTHING from the Gorgar machine, and this was after I had turned off all other audio except the game.
The UI in the arcade is also overly complex, requiring multiple buttons to be pushed just to move to another machine. Needless and irritating. I also didn't need the voice announcing the name of each pinball game EVERY TIME I pass it! I can read, disembodied voice, so shut the hell up!
Finally, using the Nunchuk and Wii remote just didn't feel right at all. The intensity of play would often result in button mashing instead of button pushing, and my fingers would get sore very quickly. I also worried about the extra wear and tear I might applying to the controls.
It's true that I had high hopes for this game as I've always enjoyed pinball albeit never being particularly good at it. However, the extraordinarily quick and easy way that you lose balls across all the boards felt even more anthropomorphically spiteful than when I played actual machines.
All this game made me do was regretfully wish that there were still some arcades in my area, because this lame digital tease made me want to go out and find the real thing!
Best pinball game Jun 20, 2010 This is the best pinball game you'll find. Until someone releases a collection of "newer tables", this is the game to get for pinball lovers.
