I was very excited to see this game available for the Wii because I was a huge fan of Donkey Kong Country for the Super Nintendo. I absolutely love being able to use both the nunchuck and controller to 'clobber' opponents and bosses. Of course all Wii games are very interactive but this one seems a little more so than the rest due to the fact that every second is movement and punching. Overall, it is an absolutely phenomenal game and I would definitely recommend it!

I grew up playing Donkey Kong so anything pertaining to Donkey Kong is GREAT to me! This game gives your arms quite a workout!

We love this game! I remember playing Donkey Kong from my childhood and bought it at Christmas when we purchased our Wii. I purchased the new Super Mario Brothers, another throwback to my childhood, and have barely played it compared to the amount of time I have spent playing this game. My 3 year old asks me to play it just so he can see the "bad guys" and cheers me on the whole game. With the wii controls, you will also break a sweat playing this game. Worth every penny, the only drawback, its a one player game.

This game is a mix between Wii Fit and a regular Donkey Kong game. You must shake the Wiimote in certain situations to win the objective.
PROS
* good exercise
* good clean fun
* motion control
* after-goal minigames of collecting bananas (shaking controllers as quickly as you can)
* great graphics for 480p
CONS
* sweating while playing a game (although some parents may disagree)
* defeating bosses were tedious and detracted from the game
* catching fruit during boss battles
* catching fruit and then having Kong throw the fruit the wrong way during boss battles
Conclusion: I feel this could have been a 5 star game, but the boss battles depended so much on timing. The bosses can be defeated once you learn how(I watched walk-through videos on youtube).
This game however does provide a great way to get kids moving by clapping and waggling, and uses the Wiimote and nunchuck masterfully.

My kids are so excited to have a version of a game I loved as a kid. We're still learning about the game but what a fun thing to do as a family.
