 My first hockey game for Wii Jul 08, 2010
I will start off by saying that I've been disappointed by pretty much every sports game I've played on the Wii, but this game was a pleasant surprise! Not only is the gameplay very good with both the Wii Motion Plus and the classic controller. I use both but prefer the classic controller for this particular game.
For a Wii game the graphics are really good and I believe there are 4 levels of difficulty. My kids find it a little difficult on the easiest setting but in only a week they are getting the hang of it. I'm playing a custom difficulty somewhere in the middle and I'm playing around .500 hockey right now so it is challenging but I'm still a beginner.
Highly recommended game and I will buy 2K11.

I bought this game after my mom brought home the Wii system for my little brother. I decided I wouldn't buy a soccer game this time, and thought hockey would be better on Wii than it was on Playstation.
I was very disappointed. The graphics weren't much better than NHL 98 on my Playstation 1 (the only other system I own). Probably on level with a 2001 NHL game, definitely not a 2010 Wii system!
I played a few times and thought it was really cool that you could play with someone live on WiFi. But thats about as much as I liked about the game. I was gonna keep it because of the Live match-up option, but then I decided I could do the same on a soccer game like Pro Evo 2010 or something.
Overall, although I hear its better than other hockey games for Wii, I don't recommend it if you're a sucker for graphics. The controls are nice on Wii, the online option is great, but the graphics failed my quality control.

This is a great hockey game. I am a hockey lover and this game does the sport justice. The game play is really fun, both single and multi-player. However this game really lacks in one place. Its online play is sub par. There needs to be chat rooms to organize games or teams in pick up game mode. However if you are not worried about online play the game is great. The graphics are not the best but the game play makes up for it.
