4Like Mario Kart in the "Air"  Dec 20, 2010 By Cherise Kachelmuss "Mom and More"
I have played other MySims games before, but this one is my favorite. I will say it takes a little it to get used to flying with the nunchuk, but once you get going its fun. I finally complete my first race (3 laps) my third time! You can race, free fly, and face challenges as you go through different scenes which are pretty neat looking. This game reminds me of Mario Kart for the air, you can pick up items to use as you fly and you can blast others in your way! The screen tells you right away and gives you guidance if you are going the wrong way and the levels tell you their difficulty rating. You can also customize as you play and even play online against others, but I have tried that yet. Overall, MySim Sky Heroes is fun because it is a flying game and there really aren't any of those out there that are geared towards a younger crowd. There is lots to choose from, explore, and build upon.

48 yr old loves it, 4 yr old says too hard  Aug 11, 2011 By J. G "Johnniee"
Not a bad game for the price paid. Daughter can't stop playing it. Littlest one says too hard. So i guess ages 5 and up.

5awesome game  Mar 21, 2011 By horselover3993
I love this game!It is the best game for Wii I have ever played(besides Mario Kart). It is fun, engaging, and entertaining. My brother got it for Christmas, so I played it. Best game ever! I can't say enough about this game!

1Multiplayer options are disappointing  May 15, 2011 By J. C. Rahn
The box for MySims Sky Heroes reads, "6 Players Online," "Compete in split screen matches," and "Build and Customize your Aircraft." Those were the huge attractions to this game for us having already seen some preview trailers and knowing that we liked the visuals and music. I especially liked the idea of being able to play this game with the family in split screen and using our customized aircraft and MySim Aces. Unfortunately the game fails miserable at all of these things. You can create your own MySim Ace and custom aircraft and play them. But what you CAN'T do is play two of them at once against each other. So lets say you have 2 kids that created their MySim Ace's and custom aircraft and want to play against each other with those custom Ace's and aircraft. It can't be done. All they can do is have one player use their custom Ace and aircraft then the 2nd player must pick one of the stock Ace's and aircraft. So what's the point in having the customization at all if your main goal is to play 2 player games? I contacted EA about this an they couldn't even answer the question of this being possible then they closed the case. This was the first EA game I have purchased and will be the last.

6 players online is their claim. Over the course of 2 weeks and about 14 attempts to play online we haven't seen one single other player to play against (Nintendo). It waits for several minutes to find other players but never does. This is a huge waste of time because you have to configure many options just to get to the point where you go online and wait. Unlike Mario Karts where you can find tons of people to play against 24x7 this game is dead. Either the online feature is broken or interest in the game is so low there is really nobody out there to play against.

The single player mission mode is OK for kids. The maps look nice on the Wii and the music is not bad if you like Top Gun ambient style music. Unfortunately the maps are very small and players quickly find themselves "Out of Bounds." Also in the missions there is an awful lot of text bubble chatter where the player in constantly pressing "A" to continue and the AI talks some kind of jibber jabber language unlike in the trailers where they spoke English. I feel this is misleading and wastes lots of time reading through all the dialogue which is mostly totally unrelated to anything in the game. It's just senseless chatter.

If you're looking to play this in 2 player mode with custom Ace's and aircraft or with people online then its not for you. If you just want a simple little kids flying game for one player mode or two player mode with uncustomized Ace's/aircraft then it's OK.
