5Good but easy  Nov 02, 2009 By Rochelle Quinney
My daughter who just turned 7 said, "It's very fun and it's easy."
I say they should make it more challenging.

5Grand daughter loves it!  Oct 23, 2009 By Thomas M. King
My granddaughter, age 6.5, really likes this game. She is a master of math blaster DVD game and has been playing Mario Bros on the Nintendo for the past year. She started playing this game about 1 month ago and it has replaced Mario. She loves to read aloud and hear herself read with the record function. She has been able to navigate the game all by herself. Honestly, I feel less guilty about video game playing not that this game is a favorite. She mostly plays in the car. I am thinking of buying the Pre-K level for my grandson.

2Not all that impressed:(  Sep 24, 2009 By S. Hembrook
I was so excited to get this game, but it fell short of my expectations. It does not work on the skills of a beginning reader. I was hoping it would work on sight words and helping my child sound out words, but it has an expectation that you already know how to read. It has very few games and once they complete them, they are done. My son has almost conquered the entire game and he just got the game yesterday. I would not recommend this to anyone. I feel like I wasted my money.

3Too Easy  Oct 18, 2010 By Puddinpye
I bought this for my 6 year old entering the 1st grade this summer. From her mouth "It's too easy". So I sat with her and all of the challenges were not exactly challenging for her grade level. I wanted to teach her phonics (as they don't do that at most schools in Illinois). The phonics feature is pointless. I would recommend this (1st - 2nd grade) for children entering kindergarten.

5Great reading game  Mar 06, 2010 By Catherine A. Kanter
My 5 and 7 years kids just love it .
Each stories are very well animated, the questions are relevant to the reading material, you can chose to record your own reading and replay it, it has drawing games too.
my 7 years old is in 1st grade and love to go to bed with it. It is very relaxing and the story and very sweet.
I think it is almost to easy to read and would have label it more k-1st grade versus 1st-2nd grade.
Overall very good.
Ps: your child does not have to be a great reader.
