Good Game at great price Jun 06, 2010
I purchase this game to play online with friends and It's great !
Is not the last game release but it's much more affordable than the new one, and you can have great times playing online with friends and other people.
The movements for play are a little complicated for small kids, but nothing that some practice can't solve.

My 10 year old son and I bought 2007 last year, I wish we had gotten 2009 instead, 09 is infinitely easier and more fun than they previous Madden's. We have especially enjoyed the 5 on 5 games, as well as the drills for different positions.

I never played the game - nor do I play the Wii much at all - but I purchased the game for my 10 year old son and he loves it. He plays with his friends and they now know the football's rules and procedures. Before, they collectively knew very little but since playing the game, I would say that they have a better appreciation for the game. If you are a parent and want your kids to know something about football then I would recommend this game. By the way, I would prefer he spent more time outdoors playing football but I think this is a good educational experience for him to learn the game without playing through some formal league.
The stars assigned to my review come from my son. He said to me that this was "the best game he has played on the Wii." Well, there you have it. From the mouth of a 10 year old you get hyperbole. He rates everything he even likes as a 10 or with 5 stars. Take the stars with a grain of salt; the game may be relegated to the heap of forgotten games in about 6 months. I'll chime in later with an update to give you a sense of the game's staying power.
 PC version better Mar 13, 2010
Since the Madden franchise has been out I have always picked up a version, although a year after the newest version came out to save on the cost, for the PC. This is my first time buying one for a game console. On my PC I have Madden '08. Overall the PC seems to have a better AI than the game console version and I have not quite got the hang of the controls on the Wii version. The hardest part is passing and you want to switch to a different receiver. Pressing the direction controller or the "A" button is somewhat not as natural as a game pad controller. Also if the pass rush is near the quarterback then sometimes the quarterback does a little dance instead of passing the ball when you flick the controller. This, for me, usually then results in a sack rather than a pass. Most of the other parts of the game are fine but more for arcade style of play.
