Not Just Dance! Sep 30, 2010
By gustavo I picked this up for my 8 and 10 year old daughters as a filler for Just Dance 2, bad mistake. Don't be fooled not all dance games are the same. The controls are unresponsive, the multiplayer doesn't allow for two charters to be selected so you only see one dancer on screen and it has no 4 player mode. Sadly the tracks are limited to only 24, less then Just Dance, and obviously they're sung by kids and not the real artist, which may be a problem if your children (or Child) are use to hearing the actual song like in Just Dance. Graphically, even for the Wii, the game lacks and hurt my eyes after just 20 minutes. My daughters played for about half an hour before they asked for Just Dance again. Do yourself a favor wait for Just Dance 2, or pick up the first part if you haven't already.

Fun game for younger kids, responds well to remote and recent tracks! Oct 24, 2010
By Reviews on Amazon My kids generally have little interest in the Wii. They will try a game play for a short period of time then return to a game of Barbie or coloring!
However, as they both like music and dancing, and are fans of some of the artists whose songs are featured in this game, I decided to sell my Disney Dance revolution which they could not care less about and replace it with this! It was a good move!
I noticed a lot of reviews noted that it was similar to the just Dance series - I have not tried this so cannot compare, however my main goal was to get a fun game that my kids would like and this particular format resonated with them in terms of tracks and ease of play.
The first thing that struck me was the fact that is was easier for younger children - granted we started with some of the easier dances, but some other games on the market which require kids to follow along may be too fast or complex for younger kids and kids will get frustrated when they cannot follow along or see some success. My 7 year old was able to dance along and readily score points as she mastered some of the moves. It was simple to understand and the graphics provides a good guide as to what move to do!
Also, another important factor - the game and the Wii remote pair well together and the game picks up on the remote action. Nothing is more annoying when you are moving correctly but there is a disconnect between the game and the remote - this was not a factor at all in this game.
The songs are fun and mostly contemporary - Thriller of course is a little more dated, but has the fun theme dance and is such a classic that even my toddler recognized it and played along. The songs have been adapted to make them age appropriate. The version we had also came with a bonus CD which was perhaps the weakest part as I did not recognize a lot of the songs and neither did my kids!
The game has plenty of different modes, we have only tried solo play to date my there is an option to play against a friend, plus little girls will love the dress up, customize and shop sections which are added benefits!
Of all the kids dance games for the Wii, this is my favorite - simply because the ease of play and remote responsiveness, combined with a fun and modern sound track help keep younger kids engaged and it is a game in which they can have fun without the frustration of complex moves or rules. Great game!

GREAT GAME Sep 23, 2010
By reviewer Another very fun dance game for the wii. My 12 and 13 year old like the game, although they like just dance better as it is geared towards older kids in their opinion. I think this game is just as fun as just dance, however.
It is great to have current popular songs that we all can love and not have to worry about language as it is a cleaned up version of the song.
I would highly recommend this for anyone with kids 3-10. And, my kids, even as teens/preteens like it and will play it--so it isn't a loss there, they just prefer just dance.
This game is basic enough that you do not already have to be a dancer or good at dancing to follow and have a great time. Which i appreciate as i am rather uncoordinated!

Just Dance, watch out-the Kidz are coming for you! Sep 28, 2010
By www.TheBestMoms.com Just Dance is a game that we all enjoy so I wasn't sure what to expect from Kidz Bop's new dance game, but everyone loves it-even more than Just Dance! The kids say that they like the graphics better and the dance routines-plus they can get outfits for the characters, etc and pick different sets to dance on. Where a couple of the Just Dance routines were lack luster, all of the Kidz Bop dances have been awesome. We knew most of the songs except for "Ice Cream and Guacamole" which is now a favorite because the kids like the way that it gets faster and faster at the end-love love this game! My only suggestion would be to make it up to four players (it is now up to two players) but tbt, we usually only play 2 at a time anyway : )

Great Family Game Sep 23, 2010
By Elizabeth Mark

I got this game because my 5 year old loves my Just Dance game. We played it for just over an hour this evening and we both enjoyed it. We know all the songs so far and the moves aren't too difficult that he can't do them as well. The challenge part gives it a game aspect, but it does take both of us playing to pass the songs. So far it's been a lot of fun and of course lots of exercise too. The only thing I wish was an option, is allowing both of us to choose a character, but instead you choose 1 character and then pick 2 player.
