 A bug now and then but overall a Great Game for my son and I Apr 13, 2010
OK, we did have about three times where we did have to do a hard re-start of the Wii to get past a freeze but with all of the fun my son and I have had with this we hardly noticed. The price alone was a great selling point! I first only picked this up since the price was less than $20.00 and my 4 YO Son LOVES his toy cars. I didn't really expect much from it. Once he played it, I was more than thrilled I bought this for him!
Since it is intended for 8 years and up (take note if you want to get this for a younger child) I figured if he didn't take to it right away we could try him out with it again as he got older. The first race or two he had some problems getting around the track without hitting the wall or falling into a pitfall. I just re-assured him and told him to keep trying and he would get better, and boy did he ever. He and I have a lot of fun racing against eachother and working as a team taking turns to unlock different tracks and cars. He LOVES this game and we have a lot of fun together with it. The implementation is ingenious! it looks like you are actually racing on a track that a kid would set up! The tracks are vastly different, both in how to best race them and the atmosphere they create. His two favorites are the Underwater Mini Golf and the trainset in the attic. The controls work great in my opinion and really feel right using the Wii mote like a steering wheel. As another reviewer said and I concur "A great game for Father and Son Bonding! (Especially since I loved Hotwheels when I was a kid!)

First of all, I have to say how cute this game is to play! Once you pick your car, they race all over what appears to be a little boy's bedroom. They go through the dust bunnies, through the soap suds, then under the floorboards where they have all their special races. It's just plain cute and not overly hard. Probably, should be at least 6 to play it since it does require the manueverability and reflexes. But other than that, it's not too hard but it's just right for a beginning WII player. Super cute, not too much violence (you can blow up the other cars), and not too hard. Highly recommend!

This game has the feeling that it was rushed. The controls are so unresponsive that I thought my controller was not working. Also, it has serious bugs that we found on the time we played, was this QC'd at all.
This is a lousy value. Spend the money on a good game like Mario Kart.

This game has SERIOUS bugs.. If you run into walls wrong, it won't reset and you stay in "jump mode" until you reset the game. Also, it doesn't always reset you when you fall of the track either, which means if you are in a race and you fall from a higher level to a lower level then you are effectively 1/2 lap behind everyone with no way to catch up. The graphics are shady at best and you get a lot of hesitation with 2 player mode. This game is worth about $5 based on the problems. Buyer beware.

It's a good game. Not all the different scenarios are initally available for play. You have to progress with competence before other scenarios will unlock.
