Basically it works, I still whup nubs on brawl, just now I lie down on my couch while I do it ;) Anyway it works and the white color matches the Wii. 10 ft is the longest I found and allowed me to wrap it around the back of my desk. So I super glued some Velcro to it and the bottom of my desk so that I can plug it in with out having this wire lying across my floor (My couch is right next to my desk), yet if I ever decide to move it I can always take it off.
So yea I recommend it. Especially since wave birds are so damn expensive now (O well at least I got Rumble).
Oh to be nit-picky when i got in the mail it was in an envolope and somewhat folded like it is in the products picture. This caused it to be really kinky which may get on some nerves but should a non-issue. The only reason i mention it is because I don't see why they just don't wrap it in a circle.
One more thing If you are buying this with a new controller you may want to instead check out the new gamecube controller MADE BY NINTENDO (none of that 3rd party crap--look for the logo)Its a white controller that matches the Wii and most notably it comes with a 10 FOOT cord so you may not even need the extension.

I know there are over 20 reviews for this product, and only 2 say "Did not work." So I thought to myself "Self, CERTAINLY you won't be in that measly 10%."
Alas and alack, I was. The cord arrived, and I was so excited to get to play my Wii from the couch, rather than sitting on the floor in front of the TV. But despite endless experimentation, the cord did not work. No manner of restarting the Wii or blowing into the ends could help. Faulty product.
And the saddest part? Couldn't find the packing slip (even after dumpster diving) so I just bought myself a 10-foot jump rope.

I really liked the idea of an extension for my silver official nintendo gamecube controller. I plugged the extension into the wii, then the controller into the extension, got a game up and running, but nothing... unplugged the extension and plugged the controller directly to the wii and it works fine, so the cable is bad, did this several times before giving up. I also noted, the unlike another review on here, the coupling was very loose between my gamecube controller and the extension cord.

Cables on a standard Gamecube controller are 6 feet long, as are most extension cables. My favorite chair is 15 feet from my Wii. I thought I was going to have to get 2 extension cables but then I found this. It's the longest cable I could find and it works just fine.
Oh, and the title says it's 10 feet long, but it's actually 12. Pretty awesome.
