Don't Waste Your Money Jan 10, 2010 My wife gave me the Wii Sports edition for Christmas. The games have been fun, but we wanted to add more variety. We thought this title would give us a large selection of sports games, but instead the "games" on this CD are more like activities for little kids.
I gave the game 2 stars instead of 1 because a young child MIGHT get some use out of these activities. However, for those who want entertaining and active sports games, you should look elsewhere.

The WORST Sports game EVER! Sep 01, 2009 Like the previous reviewer I was expecting to be able to play actual GAMES in this DS title, but the only thing you can do is play mini games that are not very challenging at all. This game is a complete waste of [....]. I truly wish I would have rented this game instead of buying it...

a H-U-G-E waste of money! Jun 26, 2009 I would give this game zero stars if I could.
Surprise - you cannot play any of these sports. This game has two minigames for each of the six sports and that's it. You can't actually play the sport. The minigames don't even have much to do with the sport. Usually minigames teach you how to play.
For instance, in one of the tennis minigames there's a pinball machine and you and your tennis racket are in effect the flippers of the pinball machine. You hit the pinball with your tennis racket to score points. In the volleyball minigame, you play with three other players (everyone on the same side of the net!) and the volleyball is a bomb, and if you don't make contact with it, you blow up. The baseball minigame is where you're caught between bases and you have to try to make it to a base without being tagged out. The other baseball minigame is to hit coconuts out of a tree into a basket. The golf minigame is trying to hit a target with the golf ball. The football minigame is to throw a football and try to hit a running receiver. All you can do is the minigames. That's all there is to this game. I've always liked Activision, since my Atari days, but they should be ashamed of themselves for putting out this game!
